Naturally, we tried it out in the middle of the store.
It's filled with gems like: Control your hyperness (cut down on the sugar if you have to) If you want a wild girl, act like her. Don't act desperate.
The results were fabulous. People in the store thought we were crazy.
Then we made the best $3 purchase ever and got it for our recently returned missionary friend. fabulous find.
Reasons this is awesome: 1. watch Oprah. she has no idea what is going on 2. I so want to be a part of this 3. Fegie and Will.I.Am. that's all Happy Friday!
a few weeks ago, I began to feel that DC had lost its luster, what with the snow-mania, indoor activities and all. It made me sad and scared me that this wonderful city was become passe. I wanted to regain that magic feeling I felt when coming out of the metro and on to the mall for the first time when I was 13.
Today was just what I needed.
My morning gym trip turned into a morning run on the most beautiful day I've had here. I ran to my go-to monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and took a trip to the Vietnam Memorial, and it hit me--this place is amazing. My morning jog took me to places people come on vacation. I live in the center of the free world, walk where the greats walked, and am in the middle of innovation, genius, and change. It feels good. Coupled with the perfect girls shopping morning, frozen yogurt, eating Bill Cosby's favorite chili dog at the famous Ben's Chili Bowl, and some adventures around town and in the Barlow, I realized I am right where I need to be.

I have been a fan of Greg Mortenson since reading Three Cups of Tea and have been looking forward to his forum address for months. He didn't disappoint. It was wonderful to have him come to BYU and share a message with us.
It is easy to get discouraged in our endeavors, especially in international development. But Greg shows through his words and actions that change is possible, if we trust the people we work with enough to empower them.

I feel like I won the emmy for good monday, and I would like to thank the following people for making my day enjoyable.
first, to the people at the ID center, thanks for laughing at me when I told you the story about flushing my byu id down the toilet. I'm glad I made your day, but did you really have to make me take a new picture?
I would also like to thank the boy at the library (yes you), even if your music was really loud. just because your headphones are in doesn't mean we can't hear your music. i was enertained, but people were trying to study. i loved the relient k selection, but was embarassed for you when taylor swift came on super loud and you had no idea.
Next, thanks to the byu games center for the change machines I used to get laundry quarters today. I felt like I had won a slot machine jackpot. and thanks to the riv dryers for actually drying my clothes.
I would like to thank my new fhe group for an entertaining evening, dave for providing a lovely SWKT tour for my freshman, fall for starting to come, and Brother Bott for giving a mission prep lesson that I needed alot.
not a bad day.

things are looking good, my friends, and here is a little sampling why...
sunny summer-like days
a chance to hang out with old and new friends this weekend
i think i'm naturally talented at photoshop.
sprinklers all over provo are starting to get turned on and i've gotten caught in the middle of them three times in the last two days. it's great.
it's more socially-acceptable to wear skirts to class during the spring. i approve of this trend
the flowers are blooming and campus just smells better in the spring
today i sat on a patch of grass and thought it was wet, but it wasn't!
i keep running into great people i haven't seen in awhile. that makes me happy
today these ducks came up to me as i read on a patch of grass. i was nowhere near the duck pond. they were cute until i feared they would eat my toes. i didn't zoom, i promise.
I know this is on lots of people's blogs, but I think it is absolutely wonderful. How blessed are we to have living prophets and apostles who have such great wisdom!
